SDM Super Sunday Alumni Meet Bangalore 2011

After much waiting the day finally came. I was much waiting for this day because i was going to meet my graduation friends after long 6 years along with the beloved lectures

I had kept my alarm today at 6clock , i don't know after how many months i woke up on a Sunday at 6 clock and my brothers where shocked that i have woken up at sharp 6 AM.

Yes i had to get ready be and i wanted to be there at sharp 10.30 AM.I prepared my self with well shaved beard and took a quick bath too followed by a crash course breakfast which i prepared and i was about to had, and as i expected my phone rang, and i was very sure its from Avinash, my bench mate, roommate. As usual i replied dude next 4-5 minutes i would be there and i was there after 10 minutes as it took to select a right out fit for the occasion and finally i found one out, and i had made a right choice, when i got compliment from one of the lecturer whom i admire.


When i reached the meeting point i got pleasant surprise i saw Manasa with Avinash, and we started sharp 9.45 from Indira Nagar to all the way to much awaited alumni meet venue near Minarva Circle, as i was about to reach MG Road my phone ranged and saw it was my another best buddy Vishwas calling me for the route to reach Hotel Shabarwal Viceroy, i guided him and asked him to wait for me at Lalbagh, but i rided my bike fast as i was not out the hangover of the Fast and Furious which i watched other night and excitement to reach early and spend much time with buddies made me reach Lalbagh bus stop much before Vishwas would reach there. After 5-6 minutes wait Vishwas too joined us and now we where 4 from our batch and reached there 10.25.AM


As i reached i saw there my best friend Pradeep he had arrived there at 10.AM itself, we have nothing similarities with the personality,( actually his height 6+ and I look very short when I am with him and he was noticeable from the any corner of the college and we had been caught so many times from the discipline committee for roaming around the college corridors ) but our same tastes and likings made us good friends.


When I reached the hall I saw so many faces and I got confused whom to speak first and second. I wished few quickly, waved at few and what I can see was all smiling faces around. At one corner I saw my beloved lectures were surrounded by my friends and senior s and juniors and I all felt like being at SDM once again at Sharabhwal Viceroy,

I registered myself and I asked the pretty girl sitting at the reception what is the count she replied 150 and I was surprised to hear that number as my facebook invitation had only 50 guys who had replied they are gonna part of the alumni meet, and as I entered the hall I saw its already half full and I was searching for the suitable place by that time I found my senior Sri Nidhi and we sat in the front and I am sure Sri Nidhi is sitting in first row for the first him in his life, and we started chitchatting one hand came from behind and she asked said you…. I replied yes Jayshree Maam and I saw the smiling face and I replied yes I am Kedar your junio,r and her son also said hi uncle he was so cute.Then I saw few more people whom I haven’t seen in the college I was sure that they all are SDM guys and I was surprised to hear someone said they were from the batch of 80,s Srinidhis immediate comment was see dude were not born at that times. We all 2005 boys laughed at that and we appreciated their participation.

All gathered and sudden silence in the hall as our much beloved principal Yasho Varam entered the hall with his team along with new vice principal youngest lad in playing 16 who were representing college on behalf of entire staff. If entire staff participated we would had some 6 IPL teams lol: P

Program started with the garlanding and welcoming our beloved lectures with red roses.


Today it was a day of student old students took the dais and started sharing their experience at the SDM, we including our lecturers came to know so many things which were untold till date.

Then it was once again E Mahabal Bhat show. He took us around his journey from his student days to present Vice principal at the same college where her pursued his studies, i hope it has motivate all the pupil gathered and surely it added to enthusiasm of the members to work towards old students Bangalore association.

The old students along with the lectures were happy to see the students of the SDM holding good positions across the industry in different fields. I am sure it would has made an impact on the fresh pass out and to all the people who wants to leave their mark in the society in coming days.

After motivating words from the about the passed out batches and thier achievements adding to the glory of the institute and his advice to the all the pupil to how to take this alumni to next stage. He also invited all the old students to participate in ongoing alumni meets and take the fruits of meet in personal and professional life. His vision of educating and motivating the future students of the college and preparing them for the next level with the experience of the old students and helping the students in coming years. This would be a real challenge and a great opportunity to all in their respective fields.


Finally we should thank all people who sponsored nice food for all the hungry pupils and everybody enjoyed the Mid day Meals with deserts and ice cream to beat the heat. The pan at the end of the lunch added to the feeling of family function and in the end we saw once again flash lights brightening up the hall with all the mobile and cameras clicking photos with loved ones.


At the end it was a great Super Sunday in the city were everyone cherished all the moments they spent at college. I would thanks all the people how took their time from busy weekend schedules to make it a grand success.

My Visit to Proposed Chitpavana Layout.

It was around 7.30 in the morning my brother started wake me up. I started murmuring what you are not leaving me to sleep on Sunday too..Then ma brother (Suhas Gogate. N)he told me that today we are going to Chitpavan Village for site visit. Ma vohani was telling that you can do other site seeing also there, but i told i am not interested in other site seeing so i can get up early......lol.Then i slowly got up and got refreshed quickly and i was ready at 8.45 to leave for the proposed place. Then we started at 9.00AM from Indira Nagar. I was wishing that we wont get any traffic so we can reach the proposed gathering point( Enternce of Jyanana Bharathi Cam pus) easily around 10 AM and i was there n my wish came true:)

When we reached Jynana Bharati we saw Gundu Mamma ( Arun Marathe Family) and Sudarshan Patwardhan Family with Bus waiting for the Visitors with the program coordinator of Sneha Builders. Around 10.15 mobile phones started ringing and everybody was asking Tu Khe Ponsaloshka? Re?? Ke Evavu Ammi Mani?? By then other few people joined us and So finally by 10.40 we about 20 people started to Kadu Mane Drive in Hotel in the bus. Others Joined us there for a drive in Coffee by then we where around 35. Then from Kadu Mane we started towards our destination with greeting newly joined Chitpavan Bandhavas. We reached our proposed Chitpavan Village by 11.30 as soon as we reached there we met few more chitpavan bhandhavas who came directly there by then we were 50+. We were greeted warmly from the Sneha Developers with its CEO MR Mukunda.

Then he explained us about Sneha Developers and their other projects which are all ready construction phase. Then he went on explaining the idea about present plan which proposed to be Chitpavan Village.

Then the after seeing overwhelming response from our community he was ready to further negotiation and he announced that he is ready to give around 10000 sq ft free to us for our community center if we come up with more than 75+ with additional discount too. Later our members and developers had interaction session over there various issues discussed and more than 50 people were interested to have site. Then we came to concussion that so many people are missing as of now so we will meet once again on 19 on the felicitation function for Nakul Abhyankar and Madhura Patwardhan(Keep on Checking Bhargava Vani Group for Update on Program Venue Details) and core committee was sure they will add more no by then and they will have better edge on negotiating the price further so we took some more time from developers to go further about vallya project. It was 1.30 by then and they had arranged for the lunch too. They provided us with the lunch( Bisi bele Bhaat, Chips, Mosaranna with Uppina Kai, Batate Ambode and Saata. After having sufficient lunch we had some entertainment singing program by Dr. Lata Damle, Mrs Dinesh Hebbar, Mr &Mrs Shankar Dongre. Then we had one group photo session and we started from there by 2.30. Latter it was decide to give today exchange information to unattended members of the community. So its my small effort to reach all the members.I reached home around 3.40 and slept till 6.30 to complete my quota.

Stay Positive

Life is full of twists. You really can not predict what is going to happen exactly next in your life. Life always keep you rotating around one or other surprises. This unexpected surprises makes life happy. So always take everything in life lightly and accept good or bad in a positive manner. This quality will definitely help you to enjoy your life to the fullest. So just look out for the positive in life. To do this you need a insight and not experience. Some people say you can stay positive only when you have such experience earlier in you life. But according to me to keep you positive you just need a mindset. To develop such a mind set you need to learn from the past experience of others and you should be ready to accept the challenges. The best way to develop a positive mind set is hoping for a better tomorrow and learning lessons from past failures. Its rightly said Failures are stepping stone to Success.. Failures become such only when you learn something from that failure.Failure gives you the experience and experience gives you confidence. The man who learn from failures take more precaution in the future to avoid such same kind of failures as he much prepared to fight against those. Once you have done that your the winner in your life. The sweet of success/ victory more sweeter when you have seen failures earlier. Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts . So you always need a courage to fight against oods in your life. If you have that no one can beet you in the life of game.

Life is A Bag of Experience

I still remember that day of April 28 of 2006, i was left outside the Bangalore HAL Airport by my mom, brother, uncle and aunt. I was on journey to a far and unknown place called Chandigarh, but my journey wasn't that easy one, as i entered the airport i felt all alone at that moment but i decided its a great opportunity for me to learn materialistic things in my life. My troubles started from as soon as i entered the Guest Check in, as i was standing there the lady at Guest Check-in gave me a shock, Sir we are sorry to Say that your booking hasn't confirmed!!! But i told that i have booked my tickets one month ago itself, then i called my Travel Agent and my uncle, as soon as my mom come to know that i was in problem she was more worried than me and she was calling me after every five minutes, but after half an ever long waiting i was told to check in my luggage and i was proceeded to Security check in once i was got over with it and when i was on the board of Airline i was Surprised to know that i was Given a Business Class Seat instead of that of Economy class ticket and enjoyed special services and my second journey was in business class trip, but my problems were not over as soon as i was landed at Delhi Indiragandhi Airport, i felt i was landed in a desert... I still remember that while i started Temperature at Bangalore Airport was Just 26.C and it was 47.C in Delhi...just imagine i was felt like i was put into a Pressure Cooker...by the time when i got my luggage and started to pick a taxi i come to know that my cell is not working...that was a huge shock for me...because i saved every contact no and address so my Sister and in my mobile, so I felt like I was left in a island, and i was terribly confused what to do next, i started searching for a public telephone, as soon as i saw a public telephone i was happy man like who just founded a oasis in a desert, but when i just walked there i found it was an local phone and i just asked the operator about STD he guided me to go out side the Airport to find an STD, i did a mistake at that time, i was in hurry of getting all address and number of my sister from my dad, i just walked outside and found the STD and made a call to dad and got address and number of my sister, i was now outside airport and i come to know that now i cant get in to book a pre-paid taxi to Gurgaon, (but system has been changed fully at Delhi airport you can get a pre-paid taxi out side of airport due to private participation of GMR Infra) . As soon as those private Taxi Drivers come to know that i was new to the place they where started asking for Rs 600to Gurgaon, after my bargain they finally agreed for Rs 475 and i was taken to Gurgaon, when i reached Gurgaon the driver just asked me sir please tell me which sector??? Now my turn to get shocked, because i (heard Sector in an Address for First time, because we usually found Stage and Cross in Bangalore.) didn’t noted Sector no in my address, the problem was because there are two places (Jalvayu Vihar Sector 31 and Jalvayu Towers Sector 56) in different sectors of Gurgaon which for any new entrant may look like alike. But only thing I remembered that it comes next to IFFCO Chowk. Just i said that to my driver and he straight away took me to there. I paid him Rs 475 (but actual charges for a Pre-paid taxi are Just 305 + Toll Tax is 32). After that incident i became more careful about such things and started write down some important contacts and address in my pocket Dairy. So i finally made it to Sister's house and she told me you’re the first one to land up first time correctly into Jalvayu Vihar and I felt great about my self...
